March 7. 1860. Wednesday

Day three of not eating Jonah’s food. I am hungry. Mia has still not returned. The police have given up. They think she just ran off and that there is nothing they can do. What a bunch of useless monkeys. My Mia is lost and needs to be found now! I will find her!

March 5. 1860. Monday

All this searching is tearing on me. I miss my wife so badly, it hurts. She was not in the woods, not in any of the houses in town, not around any of the castles gardens, not in any of the towers, not near the kitchen or any of the storages, not in the armory… for short, she is nowhere anyone can think of. To top things off, her room does not miss a thing. If she had planed escaping, she did not bring anything else than what she was wearing at that exact moment. Her chambermaids have no idea why she would do this. One of them, a somewhat new one has almost completely broken down. She cried for hours before she was questioned and did not stop when she actually was. After it was all over, she cried some more before she went to sleep. I talked to her myself to get something out of her, but nothing new. Poor girl.

I did not eat today. I just could not eat what that man made me. Not him. The only backside to this is that, now I am really hungry.

March 4. 1860. Sunday

Mia and Jonah did have an affair. The police got it out of him, but they do not suspect him for some reason. He does not know that I know. It will stay this way. If I ever want Mia to come home, he might be something she will return for. It would be foolish to believe she would return for me. Not only are theese news wounding, that is bad enough. It is that it was not surprising that is worst. I need to be alone. I am meant to be alone. Derek will come to visit tomorrow. At least I can trust him… I hope.

March 3. 1860. Saturday

Police helped with enquires today. They will talk to me about the result tomorrow. Still no new information.

March 2. 1860. Friday

No sign of Mia still. Extra search thru the forest today. Help from villagers. No result.

March 1. 1860. Thursday

Mia is still missing. It just does not make sense. Nobody here can give me a valid reason as to why she would run off like this. I just cannot understand it. what worries me the most is that no one have seen her leave. The last person to see her was me, apparently, when I told her it was time for dinner. Of course, I thought it was odd when she did not come, but I thought it was just Mia being Mia, as usual. It was when she did not come out in hours that I started to wonder. Now, she has been missing for nearly three days, since last I saw her was Tuesday. Where is she?
